The 400 acre site boasts 95% of the UK within a one day HGV transit time and is only four hours drive time from the majority of major sea ports.

Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT)
at Birch Coppice is operated by Roadways Containers Logistics, the biggest container transport and terminal operator company in the UK.
Rail freight can reduce a site’s carbon footprint by reducing C02 emissions over road freight by 76% per tonne carried.
- 35 acre terminal with capacity to hold 3,000 containers
- 24 hour operation 7 days per week
- Gantry cranes able to lift 25 containers per hour
Birch Coppice has W10 (9’6” High Cube) cleared specifications to allow large containers to arrive from the UK ports of Felixstowe and Tilbury. BIFT now receives seven freight trains daily from the UK ports of Felixstowe, Southampton, Tilbury and Thamesport from rail operators DB Schenker Rail, Freightliner and GBRf.

Walking - Birch Coppice is located within a beautiful country park, with many footpaths for occupiers and local residents to enjoy. Birch Coppice is also home to Penmire Lake which is surrounded by a circular footpath for occupiers to use; we will be introducing nature and interpretation boards around the lake in 2019.
